In June 2024, the Michigan Central Station had its grand re-opening and The Best Detroit Walking Tours team had a small part in it....actually the re-opening of the Michigan Central Station was how our tour came to be!
First let's meet your tour guide: Kacie :)
During the re-opening of the Michigan Central Station, I was in charge of taking Ford Volunteers on a tour of the train station and assigning them their positions and tasks for the day.
While doing this I realized how much I enjoyed walking around and explaining the history and significance of the grand re-opening to the Ford Volunteers.
Realizing I wanted to do more of this and knowing I was only going to be working the Michigan Central Station re-opening for 10 days, I decided to create my own tour of Detroit.
Walking is a great way to get your steps in, take in a new city and get a boots on the ground view of the city!
